Cristina Gallo is a rising young artist working in the Boston area. Her first production, How to Tell a Scary Story, holds distinction as the first undergraduate-led and commissioned opera at Northwestern University. A dynamic singing-actress as well as producer, Gallo most recently sung the role of Rosalinde in MIOpera's production of Die Fledermaus. She has previously appeared in the Miami Music Festival as Yvette in La Rondine, and Second Lady in Die Zauberflote. Gallo has been praised for her "pure tones" and "vivacious humor." (South Florida Classical Review). Most recently, Cristina created and produced Lost Narratives, a new recital series premiering the works of young women composers written about female historical figures.A versatile artist, Ms. Gallo recently delved into the film world with her recent art song project Death and a Maiden: Twilight Lifts the Veil. Gallo is originally from Newton, Massachusetts, and completed her Bachelor's degree of Music and Arts Administration from Northwestern University.
